Wayne was raised in eastern North Carolina along the banks of the Pamlico River, where he developed a love for all things aquatic. While in college in Wilmington he fell in love with saltwater fishing and quickly found himself employed as a fishing instructor and naturalist. After college Wayne took off on a three year tour to explore North and South America and the Caribbean. During that time Wayne guided whale watching adventures in Baja Mexico, climbed an active volcano in Costa Rica, and participated in published scientific coral reef research projects throughout south Florida and the Caribbean.  His scientific training and background make him an important part of the PointClickFish.com team.

Of course, Wayne still loves to fish.  He tries to spend at least 100 days on the water each year, most of the time near his home. Wayne is primarily an inshore angler, typically targeting red drum, speckled trout, and flounder from his 17′ Sundance Skiff. In the fall you can often find him in his waders surf fishing or driving his Ford F150 along the beach.

Wayne will also jump at any opportunity he has to get offshore, although admittedly he has limited experience blue water fishing.  Wayne is excited to have the opportunity to chase more pelagic species as part of the PointClickFish team!
